JULY 17, 2007 JUNKIERUSH/SUPERVILLAINS ALL-AGES ENCORE SHOW AT THE SOCIAL JUST ADDED!! Thanks to the overwhelming number of people who came out to our last two sold-out shows at the Social (Orlando), an encore performance as been added on Sunday July 29. And it's ALL AGES!! Joining us in support are the Duppies from Gainesville. Doors are at 7pm. Tickets are $10 in advance, $12 day of show. WE DO HAVE ADVANCE TICKETS AVAILABLE, so if you're interested in picking some up, email bkoelble@junkierush.com. JUNE 12 , 2007 JUNKIERUSH/SUPERVILLAINS 6/22 & 6/23 AT THE SOCIAL (ORLANDO) JR returns to our hometown with our first full-length sets in over a year, Friday and Saturday June 22 and 23. JR headlines Friday June 22 with opening band New School Dropouts The Villains headline Saturday night with opening band Skif Dank. We're also stoked to announce that the JR/Supervillains/One Drop side joint The Goods will be making a guest appearance both nights! Pre-sale tickets are now available through Ticketmaster. APRIL 23, 2007 JUNKIERUSH TO PERFORM AT EARTHDAY BIRTHDAY!! After almost a year off due to lineup and personal problems, JR is finally ready to return to the stage. So we'd like to take this opportunity to welcome our new drummer Thatcher into the family. He's been a good friend for a long time, so we're stoked to have him in the band. So this means the lineup is: Bobby Koelble (vocals/guitar), Matt Gallagher (bass/vocals), Ito Colon (percussion) and Thatcher (drums). Our newest song "Walkabout" (recorded with Thatcher) is posted on our myspace, so please drop by and check it out. And here's some more great news: we're proud to announce that JR was hand-picked to perform at this year's WJRR Earthday Birthday concert at Tinker Field on SAT April 28 in Orlando. We'll be performing on the Native Noise stage at 5:20pm (right before our good friends Gargamel!). Unfortunately the show is sold out, but the radio station (101.1 FM) will be giving tickets away this week. If you already have a ticket and plan on attending, come on over and show your support for some of Orlando's best bands. Our first full-set shows are scheduled for FR SAT June 22 and 23 at the Social in Orlando with our buds the Supervillains and opening bands TBA. The shows will be 18+, $10 advance $12 day of show. After six great years, it's become time for us to step away for a while. Hopefully this music has not been performed for the last time. But if it has, we want to thank everyone who has been so supportive of us near and far throughout the band's career. Your kindness will not soon be forgotten. MAY 12, 2006 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Camila, infant daughter of Abdias and Carolina Garcia, on May 9 at Arnold Palmer Children's Hospital in Orlando. We were blessed to have known her for the short time that we did. A memorial service was held on Friday May 12. We ask that you please keep Abdias and Caro in your thoughts during this difficult time of mourning. Any personal messages can be sent to agarcia@junkierush.com. It is for this reason that we are withdrawing from this year's Florida Music Festival (scheduled appearance was Thursday May 18). Our next appearance will be at the Social (Orlando) on Saturday May 27 with Gargamel and Milka. $7 18+ 9pm doors. Please be advised that we will be the first band performing that evening, taking the stage sometime between 10 and 10:30. Thank you all for your continued support.

Now the Good News: we're stoked to announce the arrival of new bassist Matt Gallagher. Matt is a longtime friend and former member of Orlando's own Ghettoblaster. He makes his debut with the band this Friday night at the Social in Orlando, along with the Supervillains, One Drop and our collaborative reggae band the Goods. Come on out and show some love for an Irishman on St. Patty's Day!! Doors are at 9pm, 18+ welcome. Sitting in with us this Friday is the featured saxophonist from our JR2 CD Doug Spoonamore (bringin' the BASS sax, baby!). By the way, WE ARE LOOKING FOR A NEW SAX PLAYER so please help spread the word. Hello again to all our old and new friends! We have been putting the finishing touches on our new live CD "Live at the Social" which was recorded live on September 10. We'll be releasing it at the Social on Friday December 10 (the Supervillains have a new studio CD coming out that night as well). We're making our first trip to Ybor City (Tampa) next month on November 19 (more details to come) so we hope to see as many of our Bay area friends as possible.
9/15/05 We want to say thanks to everyone who came out out to the Social (Orlando) this past Saturday September 10 to see us and I Sent Ninjas. The night was a huge success in more ways than one (more on that later). They actually ran out of domestic beer; good job gang! 8/30/05 Hello again to everyone from Junkie Rush!
